Junior Sales & Business Development Associate – IVDs/MedTech 

Ophiomics is an ISO 13485 certified medtech company developing precision liver medicine solutions.

We are advancing a portfolio of biomarkers and decision algorithms for different liver diseases, from end stage liver cancer and transplantation decisions, to early stage asymptomatic conditions.

About the Role 
We’re looking for a motivated and proactive Junior Sales & Business Development Associate to join our growing team in the medical technology sector. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to start or grow their career in sales within the healthcare and diagnostics industry. You will support our go-to-market activities, assist in building relationships with customers and distributors, and  identify new business opportunities while representing our innovative product portfolio. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

 

    • Support the execution of go-to-market strategies and sales plans. 
    • Assist in generating and qualifying leads through research and outreach. 
    • Help maintain relationships with customers, distributors, and strategic partners. 
    • Participate in client meetings (online and in person) to learn how to present our solutions effectively. 
    • Support the preparation of sales materials, presentations, and reports. 
    • Contribute to competitor and market analysis to identify potential opportunities. 
    • Assist in preparing for international conferences and industry events. 
    • Help with administrative follow-up for customer accounts and distributor onboarding. 

Qualifications 

 

    • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Marketing, Economics, Life Sciences, or equivalent professional experience. 
    • 0–2 years of experience in sales, business development, or customer facing role. 
    • Interest in the medical devices, diagnostics, or healthcare sector. 
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
    • Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus). 
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools. 
    • Positive, collaborative, and eager-to-learn mindset. 
    • Based in Portugal/Europe and willing to travel occasionally.
